Thanks to the Timothy S.Y. Lam Foundation Scholarship, I was able to achieve one of my long time career and personal goals. Obtaining my CPCE was something I have had my eyes on since college and first getting involved with the National Association for Catering and Events. All of my mentors throughout the industry had this designation and I knew it was something special that set them apart from everyone else and really established credibility. Being awarded this scholarship took away the financial barrier that was keeping me from becoming certified and I am so thankful for the opportunity!
